That there sun is going down later and later round here.

Then clouds look funny, are they contrails or sumpin'.

This is not what our February usually looks like.

Mr. P's tail is getting bigger everyday.

Strange melting actions are going on every week.

Spring construction work has begun.
I'm callin' it like I sees it 58R, it's spring round here. A kettle of 28 vultures flew over the farm this day, it's spring. Now all we gotta do is listen for the spring peepers to start chirping and for the snow to fall three times during that spring song and winter is all over Dudes and Dude-ettes.
I get to see the transitions on a day to day basis and it has slowly told me that winter has lost it gusto and is giving up the weather ghost this year. There will be more white stuff here and there but no big blow outs or blizzards left in this winter at all.
About three weeks ago the beaver started cutting all the aspens down the road. Each day it was warm they were out cutting timber. I also saw a bluebird one day that week. The starlings and blackbirds are starting to flock in bigger flocks, it's almost time to move north.
Road kill is cropping up, dead skunks and raccons start the road kill spring season and I haveseen quite a few already, soon it will be dead rabbit and ground hog season. That's why the buzzards are returning, free grub.
I got a report form the Bird Sancutay lady, the red tailed hawks are starting the mating process early this year and she has to release many of them soon as they are able to fly.
And last but not least, Mr. P's tail is almost 5 feet long, as soon as he feels the warm weather is fully here he will open and spread his tail and scream "SPRING IS NOW HERE ALL THE WAY BABY!"
